Designing the dustjacket for Talking Turkeys
The process
After reading the collection of poems and researching the author, as well as other children's books, I began ideation. Here appear several of the thumbnails I made before deciding to focus on typography.
Based on my research and browsing through Instagram users who added their work, I could see how a typographic cover would ensure a more unique submission; I discovered that most of the concepts for the cover of Talking Turkeys featured the titular birds, which made for very repetitive designs.
